Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many applications under the Woodland Grant Scheme were received between 1st April and 28th June; what the total sum of money applied for was; how many of these applications have been successful; and what the total sum of grant approved is. - Inc table.

Answer: Mr. Lidington: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many applications under the Woodland Grant Scheme were received between 1 April and 28 June; what the total sum of money applied for was; how many of these applications have been successful; and what the total sum of grant approved is. [187152] Mr. Bradshaw: The Forestry Commission received a total of 700 applications for a total of £3.9 million between 1 April and 28 June 2004 of which £1.1 million has so far been approved.
