Question

When the National Infrastructure Co-ordination Centre first became aware of the Sasser worm attack; and when it first issued an alert to systems that make up the United Kingdom Critical National Infrastructure; and given that Microsoft had made available on 12 April a patch that would have prevented the Sasser worm attack, what steps were taken by the National Infrastructure Co-ordination Centre to ensure that all systems that make up the United Kingdom Critical National Infrastructure had installed this patch; and whether Coastguard Service is regarded as part of the United Kingdom Critical National Infrastructure; and if so, what were the reasons for the service falling victim to the Sasser worm attack.
