Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will make a statement on the legitimacy of Lithuania's recent presidential elections.

Answer: Mr. Simmonds: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the legitimacy of Lithuania's recent presidential elections. [182175] Mr. MacShane: We have no reason to question the assessment of the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Lithuania who has confirmed that the presidential elections were carried out in accordance with the constitution and laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
