Mrs. Calton: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment has been made of the impact of changes to the levels of funding for vCJD surveillance in 2004-05. [163895] Miss Melanie Johnson: The Department will be providing funding of £2,005,594 for 2004-05. This represents an increase of 6.5 per cent. over the funding for 2003-04.
