Further to the Written Answer by Lord Sainsbury of Turville on 27 March 2000 (611 c45WA), whether the start date for the 10-year derogation under which the droit de suite levy will only apply to the works of living artists will be the date of the ratification of the agreement by the European Parliament or the date of the transposition of the droit de suite levy into British law.
