To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what aid has been given by the United Kingdom to Namibia in each of the last three years. - Inc figures.

Tom Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what aid has been given by the United Kingdom to Namibia in each of the last three years. [214385] Mr. Gareth Thomas: UK bilateral assistance to Namibia was worth £2.0 million in 2001-02; £2.2 million in 2002-03; and £1.4 million in 2003-04, the last year for which figures are available. The focus of DFID's bilateral programme in Namibia is on developing livelihoods for the poor in the centre and north of the country.
