Answer: Mr. Rendel: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what assessment he has made of the impact on the UK economy of the proposed increase in visa extension charges for international students. [213304] Mr. Browne: A Regulatory Impact Assessment of the proposed increase in charges for "leave to remain applications" on the education sector and the UK economy will be published when the Government announces its response to the recent Home Office Consultation on "Review of Charges for Immigration Applications' in February.
