Speaker's ruling from Speaker in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 27 February 2001.
: Ruling that 'my apologies to the House
Ruling that 'my apologies to the House. It must have been the liveliness of the debate... that is not the case. The division will be deferred' in response to points of order from Mr Tipping and Mr Hogg relating to the division at end of debate on motion to change time of deferred divisions on Budget Day, which was originally announced as a division, challenged that it was to be deferred, and whether a division having been called, it had to be proceeded with.
