Proceeding contribution from Lord Grayling (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 26 May 2005. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Adjournment (Whitsun).
Adjournment (Whitsun)
I am grateful for the opportunity to press the hon. Gentleman on that. I gain the biggest buzz of all in my constituency when someone approaches me and says, ““I could never vote for you; I could never vote Conservative; but a I am really grateful for the job you are doing.”” I am sure that the hon. Gentleman must have experienced the same feeling and that he would accept that it is possible for every MP to do a good job for every single constituent, regardless of how they vote.
