Proceeding contribution from Julie Kirkbride (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 14 June 2005. It occurred during Adjournment debate on MG Rover.

MG Rover

: It was always obvious what was going to happen. If the hon. Lady does not live in the real world enough to know that given the number of cars that BMW sold in Britain, the Government would have an influence on how it behaved over its withdrawal from Rover, she too is clearly not qualified to be Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. She needs to understand how this works.
