Proceeding contribution from Lord Evans of Temple Guiting (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 19 July 2005. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2005.
Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2005
I am grateful to the two noble Lords for their contributions to this brief debate. The noble Duke, the Duke of Montrose, asked whether we were adding new measures here to the Further and Higher Education Order. The answer is, ““No””. We are merely updating existing ones. While I am on my feet, I inform the Committee that I have just received information that Henry Bellingham, a Conservative Whip in the other place, spoke for the opposition last week when the orders were looked at, and Angela Browning was also on the Committee. On Question, Motion agreed to.
