Proceeding contribution from Lord Brady of Altrincham (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 1 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill on European Union (Accessions) Bill.

European Union (Accessions) Bill

No, because I am moving to the conclusion of my remarks, but it is always a shame not to hear from the hon. Gentleman. It is important to recognise that much hard work remains to be done to demonstrate that those countries are finally ready for membership. Their progress to date gives grounds for optimism. I hope that the support of this House will give them further encouragement.
