Special Educational Needs

I am grateful to my hon. Friend for securing this important debate. I have some personal knowledge of the trauma that can be caused when the parent of a child who goes to a special needs school is told that the school has to close, and that the child has to go to mainstream school. I know that that situation affects a small minority of people, but it still cannot be right.
