Proceeding contribution from Earl of Sandwich (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 11 January 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill 2005-06.
Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill
I hope that the noble Baroness does not think that I intended any disrespect by not moving Amendment No. 16, which is tabled in my name. I have not done so only for one reason: the Constitution Committee is to meet next week and I did not want to get ahead of the comments which that committee has already made and it has not yet taken in the Minister’s remarks. We will come back to the point.
