Proceeding contribution from Baroness Ashton of Upholland (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 11 January 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill 2005-06.

Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill

I hope that we are going to tackle the important and legitimate concerns that have been raised on how the process is to be implemented and how the code of practice will operate. I hope that once the noble Viscount has had a chance to reflect on my response, he will either come back to me with any further concerns he has in the area or feel that I have been able to address them appropriately. On that basis, I hope that he will withdraw the amendment.
