Equity Release Schemes
: I fully understand that there are a lot of complex issues that the Minister and the FSA need to think through, but could I just get his reaction to a specific question that I put to him? Given that this is a complex—and possibly time-consuming—process, what are the advantages and disadvantages of backdating the coverage that consumers would derive under the financial ombudsman scheme?
