Proceeding contribution from Diane Abbott (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 24 January 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on St. Bartholomew's Hospital.

St. Bartholomew's Hospital

I am grateful that the hon. Gentleman has been graceful enough to acknowledge the role of previous Governments in casting a shadow over Barts. Does he agree that as well as serving people throughout London, Barts has a particular place in the hearts of east enders? That is why we fought a tremendous struggle against the Tomlinson proposals and why we are so upset that now, at the very last minute, the project seems to be in danger.
