Proceeding contribution from George Howarth (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 16 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Identity Cards Bill.

Identity Cards Bill

No. I have said that I will give way in a moment. The fact that some people do choose to go abroad for very good reasons does not make it any the less a voluntary activity. For the right hon. Member for Haltemprice and Howden to pretend otherwise is to mislead not only the House but those who are following his arguments at home.
