Proceeding contribution from Lord Greaves (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 16 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Electoral Administration Bill.
Electoral Administration Bill
I hope that the Minister will answer a quick question before I deal with my amendment at the relevant point. I refer to those many areas where, at present, information about inaccuracies in the register is not acted upon in an efficient and expeditious way and to those areas where people are not data matching with other databases when they could legally do so. Is the Minister telling me that, once this legislation is passed and all the things flowing from it occur, things will improve?
