Proceeding contribution from Baroness Hanham (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 16 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Electoral Administration Bill.

Electoral Administration Bill

Has the noble Lord ever seen a doctor’s signature? Has he seen some of the signatures that appear? An awful lot of signatures cannot be read. I do not know how the noble Lord does his, but a lot of people do a squiggle, and you are lucky if you can identify that squiggle from another squiggle next door. A signature properly done is fine, but some people have very strange signatures.
