Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 28 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
I have two amendments in this group, Amendments Nos. A168A and A169ZA. They seek the same clarification as the amendments of the noble Lord, Lord Sharman, but we have approached the issue in a slightly different way. The wording of our amendment ties in with the rules of the Takeover Panel under Clause 618, which we discussed earlier. That does not in any way undermine the important point that the noble Lord made.
