Small Claims (Courts)
The National Accident Helpline is based in Kettering, in my constituency. It has written to me to say that, on its estimate, at least 30 per cent. of total personal injury claims would be included in a £1,000 to £2,500 bracket. It cites evidence from the Association of District Judges, which acknowledges that"““lay people would be disadvantaged if they had to arrange for investigation of the medical aspects of their claim, in all but the smallest cases, without the assistance of legal representation.””"
