Proceeding contribution from Speaker in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 19 April 2006. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Democratic Republic of Congo.
Democratic Republic of Congo
Order. It is with great deal of regret—I offer a personal apology to the Minister—that I have to call the debate to a close. I thank all Members who took part for a moving and purposeful debate. I am sorry that the Minister had such a short time to respond. However, it was important that as many Members as possible were given the opportunity to speak. I also thank the Opposition Front Bench spokesmen for their co-operation. I am sorry, Mr. Wills, that you were not able to intervene.
