Proceeding contribution from Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 9 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
My Lords, I am grateful to the Minister, and I agree with what he said. If there is to be a company secretary or an officer who is authorised, his or her name should be on the public record. We have no problem with that; indeed, our Amendments Nos. 11 and 12, which form part of this group, are designed to achieve that. The Minister’s response was positive and we look forward to seeing the results of his further deliberations at the next stage of the Bill. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 7 not moved.]
