Proceeding contribution from Lord Redwood (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 15 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill.
Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill
I seem to remember that in the ’80s the Government carried out a lot of deregulation and liberalisation that greatly benefited whole sectors of industry such as telecoms, in which I was privileged to be involved as Minister. Yes, I do agree with the recommendation by the hon. Gentleman’s Committee. I praise him for him for its work and for being one of the many voices that drew attention to the problems involved in the Bill.
