With this it will be convenient to discuss New clause 8—Amendment to section 30 of the 1988 Act—"‘In Section 18 of the 1998 Act after subsection (8) insert—""““(8A) A Northern Ireland Minister shall not take up office until he has made a declaration before the Assembly pledging to uphold the rule of law.””.'."
