Proceeding contribution from Lord Dholakia (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 20 June 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Police and Justice Bill.
Police and Justice Bill
I was not going to intervene. However, I have been so engrossed by the wonderful argument put forward by the noble Baroness, Lady Henig, and by my noble friend Lady Harris and the noble Baroness, Lady Anelay, that, despite England winning 2-1, I would much rather be in this Chamber to listen to and support my colleagues than go round and see what is going on at the other end.
