Proceeding contribution from Lembit Opik (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 18 July 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Government of Wales Bill.
Government of Wales Bill
And I am a very perceptive individual, as my hon. Friend perceptively points out. Having said that, let me respond to the plea for information by the hon. Member for Ynys Môn (Albert Owen) by citing the one piece of research that we have discussed in defence of the change. It comes from the hon. Member for Caerphilly. His research has been discredited as hardly scientific, but it is laudable that he still clings to the morsels of hope that it provides for his conscience in respect of seeing that this change needs to be made.
