I am interested in the hon. Gentleman’s comments. Yesterday, we held a debate on a switch to green taxation, which the Liberal Democrats proposed. Surely the point of environmental and green taxation is to ensure that directors"““minimise any significant adverse impact of the company’s operations on the community and the environment””." It is to change the way in which companies operate and realise the principle of the polluter pays. Is not the hon. Gentleman arguing against the policy that the Liberal Democrats promoted yesterday?
