Occupational Pensions

I am not aware of that figure, but I am aware of the bureaucracy and the tediously, grindingly slow process of getting money out of the system at all. Having constructed a bureaucracy of that sort, it is helpful to follow the first law of holes: ““When you’re in one, stop digging.”” This mechanism is not remotely relevant to the scale of the problem that we have to address. I want to outline the positive choices that I hope that Parliament will explore in providing a full package of redress. We must do this not only because we have a moral responsibility to those who have had their pensions stolen but because we have a selfish interest, in that we must restore the credibility of pensions provision if we are to have any chance of getting a future generation of pension schemes to be endorsed by the public, in the face of such cynicism.
