Proceeding contribution from Oliver Heald (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 9 March 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on House of Commons (Participation) Bill.

House of Commons (Participation) Bill

The Minister clearly has not read the Bill either. She may not have spotted this, but it is about making legislation, which she and I do all the time—at least, she proposes it and I sometimes oppose it. The London assembly does not yet have law-making powers, and personally I would not want it to.
