Proceeding contribution from Mark Hunter (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 25 April 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Concessionary Bus Fares.

Concessionary Bus Fares

The hon. Gentleman makes a good point about perverse incentives. Does he share my concerns that one of the consequences of perverse incentives is that the bus companies are no longer doing enough to promote their services, timetables and concessionary fares and to provide the other aspects of a good service? In the conurbation that he and I share as Members of Parliament, there certainly seems to be a marked lack of such promotional activities.
