Proceeding contribution from Lord McCrea of Magherafelt and Cookstown (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 10 May 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Bill.
Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Bill
May I say on behalf of my right hon. and hon. Friends that I deeply appreciate the remarks expressed across the House about my friend in the other place, George Dawson? He was an excellent servant of the people, who represented the people well. I know that his family will find comfort in the remarks that have been made. My colleagues and I accept the provisions in clause 7. They have already been debated in Committee, and we will therefore support the Government on this matter. Lords amendment agreed to.
