Proceeding contribution from Anthony D Wright (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 7 June 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Coastal Towns.
Coastal Towns
I apologise for having to be absent from the debate for an hour. I had another meeting to go to and I did not think it was appropriate for me to intervene on other hon. Members who had sat through the debate. One of the points that has been raised today is that where there are pockets of deprivation in seaside resorts, such as in Great Yarmouth, we need to take the regional perspective. The area may well be affluent, but we tend to forget the problems, such as transport and infrastructure links.
