Proceeding contribution from Baroness Smith of Basildon (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 7 June 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Coastal Towns.

Coastal Towns

Before I give way, I want to finish making this point. My hon. Friend the Member for Blackpool, South mentioned the sharing of best practice and I think that RDAs are best placed to share best practice information in the context of regional economic strategies. The decision of the South East England Development Agency to lead an RDA network is important and the Government will give as much support to it as possible. That is a way that we can recognise RDAs and bring them together.
