Proceeding contribution from Baroness Scott of Needham Market (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 5 July 2007. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Bill.

Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Bill

I was just considering the relationship of these clauses with later clauses, such as Clause 8 which refers to the power of the Boundary Commission. I will consider what the noble Baroness has said and perhaps come back at the next stage if I feel that there is a potential conflict between the powers of the Boundary Commission and the powers kept by the Secretary of State. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendments Nos. 11 to 13 not moved.]
