Proceeding contribution from David Leslie Taylor (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 27 November 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Housing and Regeneration Bill.
Housing and Regeneration Bill
Is my hon. Friend as surprised as I am by the proposal to give the new regulator powers to transfer compulsorily management or even ownership of council housing without consulting all the tenants, without a tenants' ballot and without the express permission of the Secretary of State? Is that not going too far?
