Proceeding contribution from Baroness Wilcox (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 21 January 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [HL].
Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [HL]
I thank the Minister for his reply. I particularly thank the noble Lord, Lord Whitty, for his support for the breadth of what I was saying, rather than the detail of how I said it. Although I am not completely happy with the answer, I understand that the Minister has taken on board the sympathies that are required and that the noble Lord, Lord Desai, nodding vigorously as he did when the Minister used the word ““effectively””, is warming to the use of these adjectives. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 23 not moved.]
