Is it not clear that the suggestion in the Conservatives' amendment that"““the Treaty of Lisbon is effectively irrelevant to the vital issue of climate change””" is completely absurd? Is it not also clear that their attempt to set the purpose and policy of the European Union against the processes of the European Union is also based on a false dichotomy? Without streamlined processes, the European Union would not be able to advance its policies.
