Proceeding contribution from Michael Connarty (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 5 March 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on European Union (Amendment) Bill.

European Union (Amendment) Bill

The hon. Gentleman is recorded as having voted against a referendum nine times in the Committee. I understand why Members of the Scottish national party intend to vote as they do, however, because of the competences, and I sympathise with them on that.
