Private Equity (Transfer of Undertakings and Protection of Employment) Bill
My hon. Friend is absolutely right. Before we embark on a measure that could have such a negative effect, people should be able to understand the consequences. Another benefit of pre-legislative scrutiny, of course, is that it could give people such as the hon. Member for Ellesmere Port and Neston (Andrew Miller) time to read studies conducted by Nottingham university.
