Proceeding contribution from Baroness Ashton of Upholland (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 29 April 2008. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on European Union (Amendment) Bill.
European Union (Amendment) Bill
From memory, there is no obligation on a Member to give way. However, the tradition of your Lordships’ House has been that noble Lords do give way. The noble Lord did give way and I am not sure that he needs to continue to do so.
