Proceeding contribution from Lord Thomas of Gresford (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 14 May 2008. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on European Union (Amendment) Bill.
European Union (Amendment) Bill
With the greatest respect, Lord Denning may have said that and, obviously, a future, inconsistent, Act of Parliament could be passed, but it would be of no effect unless, at the same time, there was an explicit repeal of the 1972 Act.
