Proceeding contribution from Lord Adonis (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 3 July 2008. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Education and Skills Bill.

Education and Skills Bill

In my experience, there may be friction between parents and young people at the age of 16 and 17 over what the young person wants to do. That is nothing new, and is certainly not affected by provisions in the Bill.
