Proceeding contribution from Gordon Prentice (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 16 July 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Road Safety.

Road Safety

I am in total agreement with my friend. Road safety is rarely out of the news, as he will know. Only yesterday, the chief medical officer said, acknowledging that it was controversial, that there should effectively be a zero drink limit for young drivers. We know that 35 per cent. of drink-drivers involved in accidents in 2005 were aged between 17 and 25. That is more than a third of all those involved in drink-drive accidents.
