Proceeding contribution from Hywel Williams (Plaid Cymru) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 28 October 2008. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Newbridge Memorial Hall.
Newbridge Memorial Hall
I am very glad to be able to pledge my support for the cause. People from throughout Wales took an interest when the Memo was on television. It was an interesting programme and it was very disappointing that the Memo came second. Does the right hon. Gentleman share my disappointment that so much lottery funding is being diverted from Wales? The sums required in this case could easily be met from the £107 million that I understand has been diverted from Wales to the Olympics.
