Proceeding contribution from David Hamilton (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 28 April 2009. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Reserves (Review).
Reserves (Review)
I agree with the aspirations set out in the statement, but I am concerned that I am no wiser about some of the points that have been made because the statement was thin on the proposals, although I will read the report when it comes through. Will the Minister assure us that we will have a full debate before we get into the details in which we can not only discuss the acquisition or relinquishing of property, but cover the whole thing at one time? I get the feeling that we are talking about getting rid of some of the property without dealing with the bigger issue.
