Proceeding contribution from Lord Thomas of Gresford (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 12 May 2009. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on Freedom of Information (Time for Compliance with Request) Regulations 2009.

Freedom of Information (Time for Compliance with Request) Regulations 2009

It may be that the 18 per cent failure rate for complying within 20 days relates to the House authorities’ refusal to comply with the expenses request under the Freedom of Information Act. We welcome and will support these regulations, as they bring Northern Ireland into line with England and Wales.
