Iraq Inquiry

We have had an exceedingly good debate. It clear that Members in all parts of the House have genuine concerns and convictions on this subject, whatever view they take. Earlier today, my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary set out—rightly, in my view—why we are having an inquiry into the Iraq war and why we believe that Sir John Chilcot and his committee have the remit, the support and the authority to fulfil that objective. Let me be clear: if we are serious about learning lessons from the Iraq war, we need an independent, strategic review to be conducted with full access to Government documents—
