Proceeding contribution from Baroness Hanham (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 July 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Policing and Crime Bill.

Policing and Crime Bill

If the Minister can do that, it would be extremely helpful. I am sure that the Government are going to have to think very carefully about this. I hope that perhaps they will have second thoughts about this aspect. I accept the point made by the noble Lord, Lord Borrie, that my amendment may be deficient to some extent but, if this clause is going to go ahead, something like this has to come about. I shall see it come about at the next stage if something better does not appear in the mean time, like the Government having better thoughts about it. I thank everybody for their contributions. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 46 withdrawn.
